The full tour

Every feature, no paywall behind any of them

Everything below ships in the free app. There is no premium tier, because there is no tier at all.

๐Ÿฝ๏ธ Four ways to log a meal

โŒจ๏ธ

Type it

Write your meal like a text message. The AI splits it into foods with portions, calories, protein, carbs, and fat, and asks at most one short question when a detail really matters, like "fried or grilled?"

๐ŸŽค

Say it

Tap the mic and talk. Your words stream into the box live. Great while cooking with messy hands.

๐Ÿ“ท

Photograph it

Snap your plate and the app answers: "Chicken taco with sauce, about 280. Rice, about 210. Look right?" Leave your fork in the shot and portion guesses get sharper. You confirm before anything is saved.

๐Ÿ“ฆ

Scan it

Barcodes resolve through the free Open Food Facts database. No barcode? Photograph the Nutrition Facts label instead and the printed numbers are read exactly.

Extra camera tricks: snap a restaurant menu and the app reads the dishes, then stars the ones that fit your remaining budget with a reason why. Or use Leftovers mode: photo before, photo after, and only what you actually ate gets logged.

๐Ÿง  A food memory that works for you

Every confirmed food joins your personal library with its portion and numbers. Repeats become one-tap Quick log buttons. Portions are asked in human units: 1 chicken breast, 2 tacos, half a serving, with live calories as you adjust. Logged something wrong? Tap to fix the amount or move it to another meal, swipe to delete with a 5-second Undo. Mistakes cost nothing here.

๐Ÿ“– Recipes with a brain

๐Ÿงฎ

Analyze anything

List the ingredients and the AI returns per-serving calories and macros plus a 1 to 10 health score with friendly notes that always start with what is good about the dish.

๐Ÿท๏ธ

Exact mode

Scan the barcode of each ingredient and say how much goes in the pot. Scanned items use real label data the AI is not allowed to second-guess.

โœ๏ธ

Edit freely

Change quantities or ingredients anytime. The app asks: replace the original, or keep both versions?

๐Ÿ’Œ

Share with friends

Send a recipe as a tidy text card. Friends with AteRight paste it in and get the full recipe, numbers and all.

๐Ÿฒ The variety engine. Eating the same five safe meals is how diets die of boredom. The "New ideas" tab reads what you actually eat and suggests recipes that feel familiar but fresh, sized to your budget, each with a "why you might like this" pitch. One tap turns an idea into an analyzed recipe in your book.

๐ŸŽฏ Goals that fit your life

โš–๏ธ

Lose, maintain, or gain

Pick a direction and a pace. The budget comes from the Mifflin-St Jeor equation, the standard clinical formula, with safety floors it never crosses.

๐Ÿ“ˆ

Self-correcting

Formulas are starting guesses. After a few weekly weigh-ins the app compares your real trend to the plan and suggests a small budget tweak. Nothing changes unless you tap yes.

๐Ÿฅฉ

Macro goals

Protein, carb, and fat targets in grams with sensible defaults and full custom control. Protein-forward, because muscle is worth keeping.

๐Ÿ‘Ÿ

Step aware

Reads daily steps from Health Connect. Optionally, steps beyond 5,000 earn a few honest calories back, because your budget already covers normal moving around.

๐Ÿ’š Diabetes support

An optional mode for people who manage diabetes. Carbs get top billing on every meal and food. Each food gets a plain-words flag: steady (green), moderate (orange), or fast carbs (red), with a one-line reason like "white bun hits fast" or "fiber and protein keep this steady". Recipes gain a blood sugar note with one gentle swap, and menu suggestions favor options that are easier on blood sugar.

This is information to help you think about food. It is not medical advice, and it never replaces your care team's guidance on medication, insulin, or treatment.

๐Ÿ”’ Private by design

๐Ÿ“ฑ

Your phone, your data

No account, no cloud, no analytics, nothing to sell. Every log lives in a database on your device, with one-tap JSON backup.

๐Ÿ”‘

Your own AI key

The AI runs on a free key you create with Google or Groq (Anthropic works too). Guided setup in the app. Keys are stored only on your phone. If one provider has a bad day, the app automatically retries with your other keys.

๐Ÿ› ๏ธ

Fixable

A built-in troubleshooting log shows what the app was doing if something goes wrong, and the Help section explains everything in plain language.

Sold? It is free anyway.

Two minutes of setup, then just tell it what you ate.
